Our traditional chore coat gets an update in a sartorial Italian fabric; think of this as “tailored workwear.” The basic silhouette — clean lines and three patch pockets — remains the same. but we've updated this utilitarian classic with a butterfly lining. slimmer fit and a slight lapel roll at the collar. all elements more typically found in a sport coat or blazer. The Italian velvet — which comes to us from Pontoglio. a 63-person mill on the banks of the Oglio river that's been synonymous with fine Italian velvet and corduroy since its founding in 1883 — is soft. plush and luxurious.
